Personal Data Protection

Data we process
- When you buy (through Freemius): name, email, billing address, payment details (handled by Stripe or PayPal, never stored by us).
- When you use the plugin: your site's address (domain), licence key and plan, plugin version, the site's technical token. These are used to check your licence and run the service.
- Article content and OpenAI key: to compute embeddings and pick anchors, the plugin sends the text of the relevant articles and your OpenAI key (encrypted in transit) to our server, which passes them on to OpenAI. They are not kept on our server after the request.
- Technical logs: IP address, date and requested page, kept for service security (abuse prevention) for up to 12 months.
- Website analytics: the page viewed, the site you came from (its domain only), the type of device (desktop, mobile or tablet) and an anonymous fingerprint valid for one day. See “Cookies and analytics” below.
- Support: the content of the emails you send us.
Purposes and legal bases
- Order, licence and support management: performance of the contract.
- Service security and fraud prevention: legitimate interest.
- Website analytics: legitimate interest, under the consent exemption conditions set by the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
- Accounting and tax obligations: legal obligation.
Retention periods
- Customer data: for the duration of the business relationship, then 3 years from the last contact for marketing purposes.
- Accounting records: 10 years.
- Technical logs: up to 12 months.
- Website analytics: 13 months.

Exercising your rights
Write to baptiste@easycontentflow.com. We reply within one month. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or with your local authority.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It uses neither Google Analytics nor any other third-party tracking tool, which is why there is no consent banner.
To know which pages are read, each page view is counted by our own server, hosted in France. We record the page, the domain of the site you came from, the type of device and a fingerprint computed from your IP address, your browser and a key that changes every day. That key is destroyed the next day: the fingerprint is only used to count unique visitors within a single day and cannot recognise you from one day to the next or identify you. Your IP address is not stored. This data is only used for overall statistics, is shared with no one and is deleted after 13 months.
If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal, no page view is counted. You can also object to this measurement by writing to the address above.

The user is solely responsible for their use of the Easy Content Linker plugin and associated costs for using third-party APIs (OpenAI).
